My purpose is to translate strategy into organisations in which human work creates lasting value.
About Sergio Caredda
I'm Sergio Caredda. I design organisations — the structure, the capability, and the conditions under which human work actually creates value. Not the HR function as it's usually drawn, but the organisation itself.
Twenty-five years sit behind that. Most recently as interim CHRO at Campari, leading one of the more mature HR AI-adoption programmes in European FMCG; before that in senior roles at OVS, VF Corporation and Diesel/OTB; and, in consulting at Deloitte and Summit, across many more organisations besides.
Beyond my professional life, I'm a thinker, a mentor, and an advocate for a Federalist Europe grounded in human rights and justice — a refusal to fit a single container. This blog is where I think out loud about organisation design, leadership and the future of work. I publish a fortnightly newsletter, The Intentional Organisation, and I'm writing The Intentional Work Trilogy on organisation design.
How I think about my work
Across these years I've come to see senior leadership as the integration of four connected dimensions — organisation design, capability building, technology and AI adoption, and value created through better work. Read the full argument.
Learning and growth
Many labels — HR Business Partner, Human Capital, HR Transformation — each define only a small part. Two experiences shaped the rest: President of AEGEE Europe during my university years; and my first mentor, Franco D'Egidio, who taught me that people are the drivers of a company's success — a lesson I carry into the daily work.
